Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a classic 1960's era Shure Brothers 565 (Unisphere 1) dynamic cardioid microphone complete with a brand new Shure A-25 mic clip & 16 foot cable in which to operate. This 565 model was introduced in 1960 and was made for about 15 years before being discontinued as where the 565SD took it's place.

Pic # 2 is an old 1970's Shure advertisement showing this earlier version and it's characteristics. This is the most affordable and nicest example of a 565 microphone that you will find online.

This is the older 1st gen American model with the 4 pin cable attachment. This was a widely used model with many famous musicians at that time period and set at low impedance having a beautiful smooth warm tone sounding far better than most dynamic cardioid mics made today.

In 1977 all 4 pin screw on cables were no longer manufactured. Starting in 1978 all mics came with the standard XLR cable.

Pic # 3 is Jimi Hendrix using this very model mic while performing live in concert though his mic shown was the 565SD model with XLR cable. There was no difference between the actual dynamic cardioid capsule on the 565 & early 565SD model.

It should be noted that this 565 model mic has been thoroughly tested and works like new. It sounds incredible. Basically an SM-58 before the SM-58 though the 565 has more of a mid range tone with a bit less bass than the modern SM-58 which is very heavy on the bass. The frequency response is very nice on these mics as well. If you have never heard one before you will be pleasantly surprised. Worth every penny.

This mic is an excellent choice for both broadcasting and singing purposes. A very high quality Shure product with excellent uni-directional pattern blocking out most background noise.

As you can see in the pictures provided the finish has virtually no cosmetic wear anywhere on the mic. It has a beautiful luster on the satin chrome finish. The Shure label that encircles the lower globe shows no wear and completely legible. The chrome globe shows zero dents, odors or tarnish. It has a nice new interior foam liner / pop filter under the globe to help with unwanted feedback from wind or strong breathing. No loose parts. The 565 is a real work horse and very lite weight for a stick mic making it east to hold for prolonged periods of time.

Again, this mic takes an older 4 pin type which is included. It's appx 16 feet long and in perfect condition. Soft, pliable and has the Switchcraft male 1/4 inch end connector for use with most audio equipment and all guitar amplifiers.

The mic also comes with a beautiful brand new Shure A-25 model mic clip that works perfect for this mic. It fits snug on the mic and will screw onto any desk or floor stand. Provides a wide degree of tilt up and down. The newer softer plastic compound won't scratch the chrome like the older harder plastic clips.

This mic is an easy 10 on a scale of 1 - 10 and you simply won't find one nicer than this.

Hook this one up and you are ready for any live event.
