The iconic Beetle Käfer with split, oval and square rear window, Cabriolet convertible, split window bus, and utility bus vehicles are all represented. Manufacturers include Wiking, Märklin, and Gama of Germany; Bandai, MT Modern Toys Masudaya, AHI, Yonezawa Cherryca, and Linemar Marx of Japan; Fun Ho (New Zealand), Tekno of Denmark, Chymos Merit Ltd of Canada, an old-store-stock Delivery bus from Hong Kong, and an incredibly rare "see through" Folkbilen split window construction Beetle from Sweden round out the group. They have been cherished as a part of my personal collection for many years and are now available to add to yours!

This auction is for a charming 1950s vintage original Marx Linemar (Japan) Elegant Miniatures Series number 103 Volkswagen oval window Beetle in mint and boxed original condition. Small diecast model that measures about 2 inches (5cm) long, 1/87 scale. This model fits the "Ugly is beautiful" category, but that is what makes it rather irresistible! Finished in grey with silver and red painted details, separate diecast chassis marked (Japan), little rubber tires on metal axles. The box is a slide cover type, missing one end to the tray box, Beetle illustration, has original wrapping paper, shows edge/age wear. An uncommon model that is hard not to love!
