1950 Minot High School Yearbook Searchlight, Minot North Dakota. The City of Minot is located in Ward County and is known for its rich aviation history and being home to the Minot Air Force Base. The aviation history can be explored through memorabilia and aircraft at the Dakota Territory Air Museum. On the banks of the Souris River, Roosevelt Park Zoo is home to bears and big cats, plus many birds.
