Eagle Mfg. Doohickey - Balancer Idle Lever with Torsion Spring & Drill Bit

Details

The famous Eagle "doohickey" aka balancer adjustment lever. Machined from solid 17-4ph stainless steel that was heat treated to H900 condition. This is the strongest and best doohickey you can buy. There are copies, but none are as good. Eagle has hade small improvements since the first one was machined in the early 2000's.

Now includes the torsion spring. This is absolutely the best setup for adjusting your counterbalancer system in the KLR650 engine. The torsion spring has these features that the extension spring doesn't:
  • Captured on install
  • Takes the slack from the system in the best way
  • Does not constantly stretch and relax while the engine is running
  • Longer adjustment arc compared to extension spring setup.
  • Much more even tension as the system adjusts.

Includes both Tusk Generator Cover Gaskets that need to be replaced when installing the Eagle Mfg. Doohickey

Details

  • Tusk Gaskets are made from quality materials designed to match and replace stock gaskets.
  • Made from a synthetic fiber blend gasket material which allows for easy gasket removal for hassle free repairs.

Two special tools are required to replace the Doohickey (idler lever) on a KLR650 motorcycle. One is a rotor holder wrench, and the other is a rotor puller (flywheel puller). The Eagle Mfg. Rotor Holder Wrench is made with precision to hold the rotor so the high-torqued bolt can be removed or installed. Once the bolt is removed, use the rotor puller to pull the rotor off the crank.
