Handsome, vintage, entry door salvaged from an old, home in  Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid pine, and is painted on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood.  New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the    same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities  that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine  is also much harder and stronger than young pine

The door has 8 windows with wavy glass, and 4 recessed (flat) panels on both sides below the glass.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our store).

Uneven Height: The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cut was made most likely to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height, cut it shorter/narrower, or even build it up to be taller/wider--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks  and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other  serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will   disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks".

 All of the glass is intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a house towards your  left, or away from the house  towards your right. We could  change the swing of the door--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could  also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could  make a frame, trim or add to the height or  width, replace the panel(s)  with glass, vice versa, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a  small description of what  you would like done,  and we'll give you a quote.
