This is part of a large auction featuring R&B, doo-wop and blues singles from several small independent labels of the 1950's/early 60's.

Here's the info on this item:

ReleaseJoe Jones - The Prisoner's Song / To Prove My

Format: 45 rpm 7" single

Year: 1958

Notes: White label first pressing. Second single overall and the first on Roulette for this New Orleans singer. He would have a big hit a few years later with You Talk too Much. Two nice piano and sax backed R&B tracks here. Great vocals in the style of Joe Turner and Jay McShann.

Vinyl Condition: VG+, Vinyl itself is in great shape with basically no wear. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels are very nice, but do have two marker X's to indicate plug side. No tears/scuffing/stickers. This is a really nice copy overall.

Sleeve Condition: VG, has original company sleeve. Has some minor wrinkling and a small pencil number. No tears/splits/writing.

All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. Check back in late-January for a rock 'n roll/rockabilly auction and a very cool selection of 78's after that.

I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.

I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item.  If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
