Description:   RARE Royal Worcester Japonaise Porcelain Lamp Base Vase Stand. This lot includes a 2 pc vasiform on stand. It has a paneled form with griffon heads on reticulated neck. It has a buttress form, having four panels with fine pierced birds, molded cherry blossoms and insects. Is rests on matching 4-footed stand. Both vasiform and stand are marked with the late 19th C Royal Worcester magenta logo. It's really beautiful displayed as it is; and I only imagine how it would look as a lamp, lit up with an upper light and another light inside the reticulated body. Very Sweet and Rare antique porcelain!  

Condition: No chips or repairs. There is a small hairline on the shoulder underneath a griffon head, (shown in a close-up image). This probably happened in the firing, and only mentioned for the sake of accuracy. It has typical, light antique wear to the gold trim. It is drilled in the center to convert to a lamp.
