This complete set includes the top round pearl which is set in a gold tone metal.  It has a small hook on the back where you can add the other dangling pieces.  

The earrings with the added pieces measure:  

Hearts - 1 5/16" when attached to the top piece.  

Dangling pearls that measure 1 9/16".

Blue Sapphire crystals that measure 1 9/16".
