This particular case is made by S Blackensee & Sons of Birmingham - dated 1928
The machine engraving is beautiful. Condition is good with a few very minor scuffs from regular use. This is a spring loaded catch with hinges which are very slightly loose and have a tiny bit of play on them from use.
It has a monogrammed panel which looks like it has the letters EHC
The case measures approx. 6.5cm x 4.5cm and will hold one single book of matches.
