Basic Information on the 200E:

The 200E is a standard hotshoe-mounted flash unit, delivering TTL flash exposure for any compatible Canon SLRs or pro-consumer portables. It is a bare basic auto TTL flash. Small & compact and at a guide number of 20, it has limited power output.  . Further, its advantage of light weight (approx.130g), small dimension is also a good alternative when portability is an issue for traveling

The flash coverage is equivalent to that of a 35mm lens. The 200E also has a built-in red autofocus assist light, with a working range approx. 1-5 metres, and only works with center AF if a multi points AF SLRs is used. This mini Canon flash uses four standard alkaline AA (Sorry batteries are not included).
