The Godin factory where Art & Luthier is produced is located in the small rural town of Princeville in Quebec, in eastern Canada. Products from our sister brands, Godin and Seagull, which are known as Canada's leading guitars, are also produced here. Using high-quality Canadian wood, unique designs based on years of research into acoustic properties, production lines with modern equipment, and highly skilled staff, we are able to supply attractive original guitars all over the world.
Approximately 95% of the wood used in Art & Luthier guitars is wood produced within Canada. Another benefit of being made in Canada is that production costs are lower than in the United States and European countries, so guitars made from high-quality wood can be produced at attractive prices.
The New Yorker-style body is reminiscent of pre-war guitars, the classic cream white color allows the wood grain to show through, brown binding and tortoise pickguard, and a vintage-style open-gear tuner. The finish has a retro flavor. In addition, the spruce material used for the top of the body is only made from material that has passed a pressure strength test, and you can feel the Canadian brand's conscience here.
The compact body makes it easy for beginners and women to handle and carry around, and because it uses a 630mm scale, you can enjoy long sustain and a powerful sound despite being parlor-sized.
Equipped with Fishman Sonitone pickup and preamp, rotary volume and tone controllers are laid out inside the sound hole. Not only can it be used as a living guitar, but it can also be used for recording and live performances, so don't miss its excellent side.
The truss rod is in good working order and the neck is in good condition.
There is some wear on the frets, but 98% remain, so you can play with a feeling close to when it was new.
