I have made the tool with a 1/2 drive  plus you can use it like a flogging spanner as the 1/2 drive is broad enough to allow you to

use either a heavy copper / rawhide hammer or, preferably a home made lead hammer  this gives a dead blow with no bounce. it will not break the spanner

• It covers the starter handle bolt and the shallow bolt (1275 engine).

• Here is for sale a Churchill type  socket to fit the A series engine crankshaft pull nut fitted with a 1/2 drive stops those skint knuckles 

300 mm long x 8mm thickness with a taper on the handel with a 1/2 drive  the socket slips on both ways as it is an open end type socket, a deep open end socket

It covers the starter handle bolt and the shallow bolt (1275 engine).
