1977 New York Yankee World Series
Champion Scroll Pennant, Baseball, Vintage!
I have owned this 1977
New York Yankee World Series Champion Pennant since 1978 and it has been either
displayed or stored in my smoke-free homes since that time. Now that I'm selling
all my Yankee Yearbooks, it is time to part with this historic, beautifully
designed pennant, which lists the player's name of that legendary team on the
left in a scroll format (all the greats from that team, including my favorite
player Roy White, are listed, including Guidry, Hunter, Jackson, Lyle, Munson,
Nettles, Randolph, Pinella, and etc.). I have cleaned the pennant gently and
was able to lift off some of the brown dust that was present but I think it can
cleaned even a bit more so do note that the pennant is a very light shade of whitish
tan and does have creases and some iron staining in a few spots.
I am selling my complete collection of New York Mets and New York Yankees Yearbooks and scorebooks from the late 1960s through the 1970s and into the 1980s so please check out my other auctions. Unless stated otherwise, some books will contain signs of wear and age which is normal within their age category. Note also that it is difficult to photograph slightly brownish pages of these antiquated references as my camera wants to correct that color to white; as such, any book from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s will generally have a very normal page browning even if my photos appear to be whitish or pinkish.**
