This opulent, Fabergé, Limoges box is a 22KT gold and red royal carriage, with a crown on top, a replica of the 18th century Imperial coach that carried Tsarina Alexandra to her coronation in 1896. The Fabergé emblem of a two headed eagle, with outstretched wings, holding a crown, is the clasp. Painted inside is the Imperial Coronation egg, which held an exact copy of the coach. It is 1.8" by 2.9" with a height of 2.1". " Fabergé ® - Peint Main - Limoges France" is on the bottom.

Please note - the top of the box (the carriage) does separate out of the clasp mechanism but does fit back in. My best guess is the clasp metal bent out of shape which made the top loose.

No chips, cracks, scratches, or crazing. There is dust present in the more difficult to reach areas.

Will be sent in a box.
