Vintage Mike Melton hand built frameset. Melton was a highly regarded American framebuilder who built frames for the 1984 USA Olympic team, Race Across America winners, and was considered by his peers to be a pioneer. This is a very interesting example, with a beautifully TIG welded frameset. Most of the examples of his work are lugged. This frame has very nicely socketed rear dropouts and a lovely bottom bracket detail. Black and yellow fade paint. Measurements as follows.

50.5cm c-t-c seat tube

53.5cm c-t-t

53.5cm top tube

27.2mm seatpost

130mm rear spacing

1" threaded fork fits 22.2mm quill stems

Fits 700C wheels

Includes everything pictured. Shimano Dura Ace headset. Ritchey Comp 27.2 seatpost, which was shortened slightly to 250mm length. Also includes dropout adjusters and downtube cable stops. Headset is buttery.

Very clean bike, looks great! No dents or otherwise. The original owner applied some stickers which could easily be removed if you prefer. I think they add even more history and character to a bike already rich in it.
