Natural artist imperfections as a handmade, hand blown work of art glass. Sharp beak and feathers at neck by artist in making. Rough tips of feathers by artist in forming/making. No cracks, chips or breaks. Lines on coral feet by artist. Tiny bit of colored glass underside base in pontil. Cut off pontil base. White spots flash from camera. ~  EXTRAORDINARY museum quality Venetian glass for the collector! Breathtaking display in person. So many stunning, intricate details to this Venetian glass work of art by a master glassblower. Salviati swan vase. Clear glass with white Latticino filigree stripes/twists, gold twists and gold leaf. Wavy mouth. Swan in clear glass with 24 karat gold leaf and applied coral-colored glass beak and feet. Gold & white lattice striped foot. Circa 1890s-1900s. Made in Italy. (Last photo for reference only. Listing is for gold/white swan vase as listed & shown.) Antionio Salviati (1816-1890) founded the Salviati & C glassworks in 1866. In 1877 Salviati opened his own glassworks called Salviati Dott. Antonio where his most popular designs were with dragons, swans, and flowers. In the thirties, he worked with master glass artist Dino Martens.
