It's with great pleasure, we bring to market this wonderful 1963 Gibson EB-0 bass guitar.

Simply one of the finest playing vintage instruments you're likely to pick up, this bass is a beautifully kept relic. Used to inimitable effect by players such as Cream's Jack Bruce, the booming sound of that high output humbucker is a cornerstone of that 60s sound.

It consists of all mahogany construction with a nicely worn cherry finish, original subtly tarnished nickel tuners, original scratch plate and pots, a Brazilian rosewood fretboard full of what look to be the original frets in excellent condition. The bridge has been luthier-replaced at some stage for increased stability and intonation control, and the metal string cover is no longer there, but the original screws are in place.

This bass is offered in superb condition for age with no cracks, dings or breaks to the body or neck. The headstock is also in great condition for age with only minor chips to the top. The lacquer to the headstock has aged nicely with fine checking lines running the width and the decals subtly yellowing. The pots work well with some minor crackling on the turn. The original scratchplate has a small chip at the top horn.

Simply one of the finest things we've had in the shop for a long time.

Viewing is advised and very welcome by appointment in our Bristol studio. Further pictures also available on request as well as a condition report. If purchasing unseen, please be aware that this is a pre-loved instrument and will have commensurate wear. Part exchanges are always considered.
