[In superb, estate fresh condition. Absolutely amazing, incredibly beautiful, extremely rare & very well-preserved. Signed in white paint by 20th century Persian artist 'E. Rotamedi' & accompanied by profuse Persian script, this Pre-Islamic Revolution, post-WWII, mid-20th century Persian
figurative art is in the tradition of the much
earlier, time-honored Persian miniature opaque watercolor paintings on paper, from as early as the 15th to late 19th century. The painted surface is largely free of any noticeable scuffs, abrasions, stains (light or dark) or paint loss. This Persian opaque watercolor figurative painting is done in the tradition of much earlier Persian illuminated miniature paintings on paper, found in antique Persian,
illustrated literary manuscripts. The painting is framed in an original, absolutely gorgeous, inlaid, micro-mosaic, wooden picture frame, with only some very minor loss & is under glass. The image features a beautiful, leaping young woman, perhaps a royal Persian princess joyously dancing, with flowing, billowing silk scarf & wearing printed silk pantaloons, long flowing Persian shawl, head scarf & pointed slippers, with both male & female royal attendants playing music on various instruments in close proximity to her, such the lyre, setar, tambourine & drum, in order to entertain & amuse her. Pre-Islamic Revolution. Very fine & very rare. Exquisite. Absolutely gorgeous.]
[Estate fresh, this extraordinary Persian, pre-Islamic Revolution, vintage opaque watercolor or acrylic water-based paint, figurative painting, along with dozens of other similar pieces, many by the same artist from the same period, were all purchased from a single Boston, Massachusetts collection of Persian, Middle-Eastern & West Asian fine art & decorative antiques.]
