The silver composition, business strike type, and circulated condition make it an excellent addition to any collection. It was minted in Philadelphia in 1945 and has not been certified. This coin is a part of American history and a valuable investment.

This handsome coin boasts an antique bronze finish and nearly all letter/number stamping is still sharp and in tact. What sets this coin apart from the others is its' minting error. This 1945 P Jefferson War Nickel has a large die crack that begins on the rim, just under the letter 'E' in UNITED and moves upward breaking through the rim and onto the surface of the coin, just under the letter 'T'. The crack continues upward going through the lower portion of the 'I', continuing upwards and through the mid point of the letter 'N'. The crack continues upward breaking diagonally through the 'U', finally coming to an end at the top of the Monticello Building's base. Another look at this coin's reverse may reveal hints of doubled die in the letters 'M' and 'O' in the word MONTICELLO. But, you be the judge.

Whatever you decide, with or without the doubled die, this 1945 P Jefferson War Nickel ERROR Coin is a must-have for any coin collector.
