Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a unique and somewhat rare 1980's era AKG model D125 dynamic cardioid microphone with excellent sound characteristics and ideal for use with drums according to the data sheet shown in pic # 2. If you can read the description of the mic on that data sheet you'll get an idea of what this mic is all about. It comes with the mic clip shown.

Originally AKG built the D125 model to compete with the Shure SM57 and was supposed to be on par with that microphone. I have watched a couple videos on Youtube showing how the mic performs and this mic gets very good reviews though few people know about this microphone today.

The AKG mics were almost always very high quality and known for their durability and superb sound. This D125 is no exception and sounds absolutely golden. This could easily be used for singing or broadcasting.

It should be noted that while this mic is set at Low Z with 200 OHMS and has a bit of bass with a dirtier tone. The bass boost kicks in the closer you get to the head of the mic. The signal rate is 100%. No issues. A brand new black foam inner pop filter was installed in the mics head as the original was all but wore out and it really cleans up the tone. Slightly less distortion.

As you can see there is very lite wear on the painted champagne gold finish of this mic. Free of any scratches, dents or fractures. Just lite scuff marks. The front screen is metal and has zero indentations or tarnish. XLR pins on this mic have been cleaned of all residue for a perfect signal once a cable is attached.

The mic comes with an AKG mic clip that works very well for this mic and will screw onto any mic stand. The clip gives a wide degree of tilt up and down. Mic takes a standard XLR cable which is not included.

The mic takes your standard XLR cable though none is included. Easy enough to find however.

MICROPHONE STAND IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.

Overall I would rate this mic an easy 8 on a scale of 1 - 10 in the cosmetic department but I would recommend actually using this piece rather than for display. She's got decades of life left in her. If you want a classic AKG mic that few others have with superb sound then this will do you justice. This mic will only go up in value due to rarity and quality build.
