Vintage Eterna Matic 14K Gold Filled Watch from 1951 w/ Automatic Cal 1247T.
The Eterna-matic watch mechanism (ball-bearing mounted rotor) was introduced in 1948 and was a watershed moment in the history of Eterna watches and the entire watchmaking industry. Based on the movement's serial number, this watch was likely manufactured in 1951. The 14K Gold-Filled Wadsworth Case is paired with a new light brown leather band.
Additional Notes:
- The watch runs and keeps accurate time.
- It sets and winds smoothly.
- The crystal has been replaced.
- The case and case back have minor scratches from wear.
- A cleaning/servicing of the movement is recommended to ensure ongoing reliability.
