An original WW2 LUFTWAFFE BOMBING TARGET MAP showing the wider area around the known coastal fortifications ('Kustenbefestigung') in the ST. ISHMAEL'S area of WEST WALES. However, the most interesting visible feature is actually that of 'RAF Angle' on the 'Angle Peninsula', with its three distinctive runways (see photos).

Security classification... "Nur für den Dienstgebrauch" (equivalent to a "RESTRICTED" British military map).

From a small collection of similar target maps covering important British military, industrial and municipal establishments.

Measures approximately 34cm x 30cm.

In great condition, although the punched filing holes are most likely a later addition.
