JVC GY-HM100U 3CCD HD Camcorder with accessories and warranty

See the manufacturer’s web page for details http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/features.jsp?model_id=MDL101845 which includes

“The GY-HM100U is a Compact Handheld camcorder with performance and features found only in larger and more expensive models. It's designed to be easy to use, making it ideal for news reporters and producers. Seasoned shooters will find that its small size lets them work in environments where larger cameras would be impractical—all while producing recordings on par with broadcast cameras.”

I purchased this camcorder used from Henry’s Camera (in Canada) two and a half years ago and have been using it to shoot footage for my small but growing YouTube channel. I find there is a night and day difference between shooting video with a phone compared to using a pro camcorder with all the manual controls to manage  exposure, audio, white balance and focus. It of course has all the automatic modes as well for when you don't have time to carefully set everything up.

Why am I selling? I upgraded to a newer one with 4K video. This camcorder has been in use till last month (when I needed two camcorders for something) and is working fine.

When I purchased this camcorder I added the 3 year Henry’s extended warranty which goes till July this (2024) summer and is transferable (no need to do anything – it is apparently linked to the serial number). The warranty is explained here https://www.henrys.com/henrys-extended-life-plan .  Note that I have never needed to use the warranty.

Whats included:

1 JVC GY-HM100U 3CCD HD Camcorder (hour meter: 295H)
3 batteries (one it came with, two I bought later)
2 32G microSD cards in  SD adapters
2 battery chargers (one it came with, one came with the extra batteries).
1 IR Remote Control (bought later. Incredibly useful for making videos with yourself in them!).
1 shotgun microphone which came which came with the camera and is normally mounted on top).
1 user manual and CD with software (not required – I never used it)
1 USB cable and 1 AV cable.

So you basically get everything you need to immediately start making videos.  Additional items you might want in order to complete a professional setup is a tripod and a handheld or lavalier microphone. The camcorder has two XLR mic inputs so you can use the second mic while leaving the shotgun mic attached – good thing to do in case the 2nd mic messes up!
