This is a large vintage industrial bulk head light.

BULB NOT INCLUDED I USED A BULB FROM MY OWN HOUSE LIGHT TO SHOW WORKING.

 I wired a 3 pin plug to the light (NOT INCLUDED) to check it was working. It works fine as can be seen in one of the photographs. The unit uses a MBF/U (mercury based) bulb. (There is no bulb included with this listing.) These bulbs are available on e-bay. These bulbs run through a ballast. If you wish to use a normal light bulb it is an easy job to re-route the wires to bypass the ballast. BUT I have to advise this should need to be carried out by a qualified electrician. There are signs of wear and tear as would be expected through age and use. These are primarily marks and scrapes to the item and some surface rust. These along with the general condition and size of the item can be seen in the photographs. It weighs 7 kilos.
