I have for sale a HUGE box of misc hardwood turning lumber. I purchased a ton of wood from a going out of business molding company, so I am looking to sell it cheap.

WHAT ARE YOU BUYING?

Each sale is ONE large flat rate (measuring 23"x12"x3") box packed as full as I can of different varieties of hardwoods. I make no gaurantees as to what you will get and I will not hand select as the boxes are pre packaged. I try to mix up wood varieties as best as I can and also try to get in one 2"x2" piece as well. This wood is great for turning as most of it is roughly square shaped and long.

DO YOU HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT I WILL GET?

I have included 3 images of sample boxes plus what the lumber looked like before I cut it. Each of the three sample boxes had the following:

Box 1 - 21 pieces 16 pounds

Box 2 - 19 pieces 17 pounds

Box 3 - 18 pieces 17 pounds

The images reflect the variety, size, shape, amount and weight of what you will purchase. I have a ton of wood and its hard to truly mix it all up well, so it wont be exact but close. Also I have been packing boxes and I find that typically I can cram about 18 to 20  23" long pieces into each flat rate box. It’s not a guarantee but a good estimate.

WHAT IS THE LUMBER LIKE?

There are little to no knots as this was used in a molding company, very high quality lumber. I keep any badly warped or broken pieces out of the boxes but you will still get some with warping or cracks. Most of the wood is square, not much for planks. The lumber is all different sizes from 1"x1" to 2"x2" and everything in between, I typically cut them to 23" and try not to include anything under 20" . There is some 3"x3" but not much and i dont think any is under 1”x1” but I suppose its possible. Some is planed, some isnt, some is planed on two sides. Id say most of the wood has some amount of planing.

WHAT SPECIES OF HARDWOOD IS INCLUDED?

I honestly dont know. I am not well versed in identifying wood species and all I can find about the coloring on the end of each plank is each lumber yard colors them different. Based on notes hand written on a few of the boards, I believe there is the following:

Ash

Cherry

Hickory

Birch

I would guess there is also these types but I cannot gaurantee.

Oak

Walnut

Poplar

If you notice other species or can inform me after you purchase a box, Id love to know.

DO I COMBINE SHIPPING OR OFFER DISCOUNTS?

Because these are flat rate boxes I cannot combine shipping. Each box will need to be shipped by itself. I can offer a multiple item discount on the purchase price itself, if you buy more than one.

THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!!
