The author's name is misspelled on the title page: "Elanor Putnam." The other "famous authors" are not cited in the book!
"Firelight Stories" appears on the front cover but is mentioned nowhere else in the book. Apparently a series by D. Lothrop. (They published a book in 1891 titled "Firelight Stories.")
Eleanor Putnam wrote many short stories for The Atlantic.
Really attractive dark red colored covers with black and gilt designs. A charming little book.
