Diddley Bow by Deadfinger Diddleybows. Longer neck Bass style

A Diddley Bow is a one stringed instrument designed to be played with a slide or Bottle neck . This instrument is made from a genuine vintage gun stock which I have added a neck made from solid oak to create a unique Diddley bow , an angle has been created on the headstock of the neck to allow the correct tensioning of the string , Stainless steel fret markers have been fitted on the neck . this REALLY does play and sound well , the output jack is housed in the shoulder pad of the gunstock , the bridge is hardwood and in the shape of a bullet. The instrument is wired with a standard 1/4 inch guitar output and piezo pickup and does need to be plugged into an amp to get the best effect, sounds real "bluesy" when played but more bass than normal... The neck has a machine head tuner in chrome . This instrument has been built to be played and has a lovely tone or even can be used as a cool decoration .
