Heart wrenching for the pain that it captured, but historically important. 

Likely taken by the doctor on a home visit. In the days of early 20th century virus & vaccine study this would have been honest record. 

4.25 x 5.5" board w/ obvious loss to photograph's left edge & vertical crease top center. Fingerprints throughout the photo's development do not detract from the subject.
