DESCRIPTION

Wonderful folk art wall mirror with upper painted tablet, showing a sailboat with a house on the shore.  Mirror glass is very likely the original.  Fluted wooden frame.  Rough sawn back board.  Probably early 19th century.

CONDITION

Overall very good.  Rich old dark wood patina.  Some minor paint loss from the reverse painted panel, particularly from the sail on the boat (visible in the images).  A FINE EARLY 19TH CENTURY FOLK ART PAINTED MIRROR.
