Vintage Tombow mechanical pencil ‘knock’ light gold colour 0.5 NOS. (With refills pictured)

This is a lovely example of a Tombow ‘knock’ pencil, the sticker on the front only says the lead size (0.5), original price in yen and ‘knock’ in Japanese.

I’ve tried hard to find a model number but it seems as with many Japanese pencils of this period (probably 80s or 90s) these are hard to come by.

Eraser and clutch all working fine, pencil contains 5-6 leads, no obvious scratches or marks, although the price sticker is peeling slightly.

Don’t be fooled by the final two pictures, they were taken in slightly dark lighting, most accurate impression of the colour can be gained from the first two photos. The body of the pen is almost sober gold colour, I thought the body was brass but I’m not sure.

It’s not a huge pencil but it feels nice and balanced, quite unique compared to many of the pencils on offer today.
