12x18h10t belongs to the group of austenitic steels. Due to the high chromium content, the variety forms a passive layer and is therefore well resistant to air and water. The nickel additive enables use in oxidizing media at temperatures up to 850 °C. The material can also be easily rolled cold and hot. The addition of titanium results in good resistance to intergranular corrosion and high strength.
12x18h10t has very high ductility and toughness. The quality is very easy to weld and can be welded using Allen common welding processes.
