This book is the story of US Mine warfare in WW2 and Korea. 
Lieutenant Commander Arnold Lott enlisted in the Navy in 1931.
He served on the Seventh Fleet and with General MacArthur in
Australia during WW2. After serving as a personal advisor, he
retired in 1957. He was later recalled to active duty in order to
produce special writings for the Chief of Information.  He wrote
two Naval Institute books, including this one.


The book was copyrighted in 1959.

This copy was published by Ballantine Books.
