Unigue and beautiful antique pitcher. Reverse amberina coloring - meaning the ruby colored glass is on the bottom, instead of the top in the most common amberina styles. Colloidal gold in the glass is reheated to form this color. The top also features a square rim formation, instead of the usual round shape.

The body is formed with a swirl pattern in both directions, causing a lattice type effect. Also, a clear glass reeded handle is affixed to the side.

The defects noted in condition do not affect the beauty of this piece.

There are no makers marks to indicate age of manufacturer. However, there production defects in the glass, which indicate an early period of production. I am estimating it mas crafted in the late Victorian era.

8" tall.
