Pilot Elite 14k Lady Pen Floral Pattern With Con-40 And Case.

This is a really fine example of one of the earlier Pilot Elite fountain pens. The first models had the fingernail nib, with the date code hidden at the bottom. Because removing the nib and feed is a bit more fiddly than on later models, I’ve left it as it is, and haven’t been able to see the date code.

The nib itself writes like most of the older Pilot Fine nibs, not quite as smooth as Sailor pocket pens but much less stiff than similar Platinum models. The flow is consistent and the lines very even, but there is a bit of feedback.

The overall condition is good, but as can be seen in the photos there’s some scratches to the metal cap, and some small marks that were difficult to remove. The section is in great shape, and there are no cracks or dents. The pen looks better than the photos, as I made sure to get up close in good light, but the marks are there.

The feed and cartridge connector have been cleaned and work perfectly.

The pen comes with a new or nearly new con-40 (all are properly cleaned) and the plastic box with testing card shown in the photo.

Even though the pen has been thoroughly cleaned before and after testing, it’s always best to rinse through before use.

Returns for used pens are only accepted if they are faulty or not as described. However I do sometimes allow for pens to be dip tested as long as the feed and cartridge don’t get ink up, please message me in advance.
