1967 Toyota 2000GT Roadster, JAMES BOND 007 - You Only Live Twice, AUTOart - The James Bond Collection, 1/18 Scale, Rare, NIB, #78731.

Little history about the car:

     It is claimed a targa had been considered to accommodate the burly 6' 2" Sean Connery. This retained the original car's fastback profile but eliminated rear side windows. Purportedly, Connery's head stuck out of the top, the targa idea was then deemed too silly and the filming crew went for roofless models instead. Two cars were custom-made for the filming, and these remain the only open-top 2000GTs ever produced. They were modified from a coupe into a roadster to allow for Sean Connery?s height, the first order of business was removing the GT's top.

The car is in mint condition. The car never been out of base or displayed, it has all the AUTOart factory round seals and the strap on it. The box has very minor shelve and storage wear, the clear window has few small dings, new from old stocks. Please look at all the photos for the reference. All of our cars come from a private collector, smoke and pets free home. We describe these cars the best as we can.
