This is a conversion headset for vintage Schwinn frames made from 1950 to 1980. It is machined to fit what is known as a 1” steer tube, actual machined diameter of the headset is 32.7 mm, or 1.287”. This will allow a normal press fit, and matches the original size Schwinn steel cup dimensions. Stack height is 31mm. Perfect for your BMX Klunker Cruiser project bike!

 When you convert your old Schwinn to 1 1/8" threadless, you can use all kinds of modern forks, stems, and handlebars. This can be a big improvement in function and style. 

 This will not fit modern road bikes which have a 30.2mm head tube. Measure first please!

Installation requires a headset press.  There are no returns for parts which have been installed.
