What is polysorbate 20?

Polysorbate 20, also known as tween 20, is used in liquid cosmetics as a surfactant or emulsifier. Polysorbate 20 is used to improve the texture and the scent of skincare and cosmetic products.

What can I use polysorbate 20 for?

• Use polysorbate 20 in your bath bomb recipe to help prevent mica powder from leaving a residue on the bath
• Need to mix essential oils into a water based solution? Polysorbate 20 will help with that.
• It can be used in a variety of cosmetic products like toners, sprays, lotions, creams, body wash, shampoos and shower gels. It is used in water based products as it helps bind the water and oil ingredients together.

For sizes 100ml and under, your polysorbate 20 will be packaged in an amber glass bottle. Any size above that, and your polysorbate 20 will be packaged in a clear HDPE bottle.
