Exterior: Beautifully embossed illustrated cloth binding is clean and square. Front hinge cracked. Back hinge completely separated. Spine ends worn, more so at the top of spine. Light wear of the free corners. Gilt text front and spine. Gilt library numbers bottom of the spine.

Interior: Library bookplate attached to front pastedown. (1895 Carnegie Library Pittsburgh). Front free endpaper is unattached with torn edges. Back free endpaper has some tears. 354 books for sale listings prior to the title page. This book is number 354, the last listed book.

Front and back of title page has library markings. Preface page has ink numbers bottom of page.

No other handwriting. All text pages in very good condition with no tears or creasing. Page margins are lightly toned. Occasional b/w in text illustrations. 232 pages.
