The doors have a magnetic closure. Two doors, 5 & 22, have missing hinges but are still functional due to the magnet closure. We used it without the hinges with no problem. The number 5 door has a chip inside the door. Also, included 2 of the wood pegs that came out, which are used as the hinges if you desire to repair it.
