Here is a varied and topical group of two envelopes and a postcard on the subject of the Super Bowl. One envelope has a postmark from Super Bowl XVI and was sent to England, while the other is an elaborate memento of Super Bow. XXXIII. The postcard pictures the Orange Bowl, site of the XXXIII game and other season-ending contests. The items have minor faults and bumps here and there, some from international postal handling.

1. An eye-catching1999 souvenir with the final score: Denver 34, Atlanta 18. The postmark is the day of the game, Jan. 31 and the postmark is of Miami, home of the Orange Bowl.

2. A small airmail envelope from Dearborn MI to Chelmsford, England, with a special postmark dated Jan. 24, 1982, of Pontiac MI from Super Bowl XVI Sta(tion), Pontiac Silverdome. Joe Montana was the star for the 49ers, who beat the Bengals 26-2

3. Finally we have a small color postcard of the Orange Bowl send to Luton, Bedfordshire. The text notes the stadium "has three times hosted the Super Bowl -- the nation's most exciting gridiron game." The card was sent to an ill boy named David, who was aiming to set a Guinness Book of Records record for the number of postcards received.

An elusive and attractive Super Bowl group.

The postage on this lot is higher than I would like, which is down to Royal Mail rates and other charges beyond my control such as eBay and PayPal commissions. In the templates I can no longer list separate postage rates for the UK and the rest of Europe. I use good British stamps to send all my lots and these should result in collectable stamps cancelled by hand in my village post office for the buyer.

As I have some fixed-price listings, anyone who makes a purchase might want to look at them before paying. If you buy more than one item, please wait for my invoice so I can combine postage.

When payment is received by teatime British time (it is usually dished up about 4:30) I normally post the item the next morning -- as long as payment is made within three days. Our village post office is closed on Saturdays, however, so if you pay on Friday the item cannot go out until the following Monday.
