Fender Stratocaster Build 1979 - Natural - Preowned

A really cool and great playing guitar with some great vintage vibe, lots to talk about on this one lets get into it! The guitar its self comprises of predominantly 1979 Fender Stratocaster parts from the same guitar. Upon appraisal the body shows as being non original due to the much more heavy and vintage spec body carves which a late 70's Strat would not have. The body is a 2 piece ash body with a vintage Strat spec that is clearly of good quality and of good age of early 1990's or earlier. Unfortunately the body appears to have been refinished at least once and has been white and is now a natural gloss and due to this has no real stamps/markings to go off as to what it is so could be Fender but with no guarantee. The body has also at one stage been a 4 bolt fit but has been fantastically filled and very inconspicuous even with a natural finish. Regardless the body is nice quality and fits the neck really well and is a nice weight all together at 9lb 5oz. The neck is all original from 1979 and feels fantastic. The frets show no real wear and neither does the finish and the metal parts are factory stock. The Rosewood board is beautiful as are the inlays and it is just stunning. The neck plate, jack plate and bridge are all 70's Fender and would appear to be matched from factory with the neck with the exception of the tremolo arm. The strap buttons on the guitar are also that of period Fender. The guitar also comes with its original Fender 70's stamped hard case which fits the guitar perfectly. Electronics wise the guitar came to us very worked on and sadly the original pickups had been badly re-leaded and in need of a rewind. Due to this the pickups on this guitar have been replaced with vintage style Strat pickups that sound great along with the original switch and a set of CTS pots and caps to get it up and going. The pick guard is a Fender repro as originally this would have had a black one with black plastics. The guitar sounds great with all the classic Strat sounds you could need. All in all this guitar has an interesting history and is a unique guitar in its self. It is a great way to get into something with lots of vintage character as well as something that is playable and something you can take out gigging. A great players grade vintage instrument that wont break the bank in comparison to its case fresh vintage counterparts. Check the photos carefully for details and get in touch for more info. As with all preowned instruments here this guitar has had a full workshop setup and comes with a 6 month warranty. A really cool guitar with great character!
