This deluxe model is larger than the standard model and is constructed from ultra-tough, lightweight carbon fibre.
The kit includes one top flag, and two adjustable side flags. Each of the three french flags can be positioned and locked into place to suit different focal lengths by providing the maximum amount of shading without getting in the way of the shot.
By using one of the 4 donut rings included it is possible to block out any light penetrating the rear of the matte box, leaving only the camera lens protruding through. The 4 donut rings provided are slightly flexible, and the four sizes range to fit almost any lens diameter on the market. This deluxe model also includes a set of flexible donut rings ("nuns knickers”), used to completely prevent any light entering the lens from the rear of the mattebox.
For changing lenses quickly, the unit features a swing away arm, which locks away at a 90 degree position. Thanks to high build quality and tight tolerances, the locked away position is surprisingly sturdy.
