This is a very rare Kienzle Unrenfabrik clock in great working condition after recent restoration with a new spring, clean up, and oiling. This is one of my favorite JUF/Kienzle/Shartz/Kundo anniversary clock collections. It has a matching movement and pendulum serial marking and can be traced to be made around 1909 to 1911 according to NAWCC archive plate # 1436. You may be able to trace the clock back to more historial revisions from the NAWCC archives. There is a exremely similiar clock at https://stores.thehorolovarcompany.com/1909-kienzle-plate-1167

The clock was made in the period when several of these clocks were only stamped with the serial number and the ceramic Badische clock dial does not have any other marking. The clock is beat balanced and now has a healthy 270 degrees or more strong rotations on a leveled surface.

The dome glass shows the cut glass edge consistent with the method of production during the period. All clock parts except the new Horolovar temperature compensating spring are the same as acquired. It has two keys for winding and time/accuracy adjustment. It has been running well and keeping time. I am trimming my clock collections down and hope it will go to a good new home.

As this auction is for an antique delicate clock more than a century old and its condition may change at any time, it is sold as is and all sales are final with no warranty or returns. These tensional anniversary clocks have a torsion spring that is sensitive to movement, leveling, and even slight bending of the spring can prevent the clock from running. Please handle the clock with care, especially in the pendulum area as the spring is fragile and can break easily. The only adjustable item is the clock accuracy control. I also strongly recommend you seek professional watch/jewelry repair service and do not tinker, modify, or repair the clock unless you have extensive experience in this type of anniversary clock repair.
