This hand-crank machine is made in Kaiserslautern, Germany in 1892 - serial number: 171892.
It is clean and functional - all moving parts operate very quietly and the hand crank feels so smoothly (unfortunatelly, this selleng platform does not accept video file to demonstrate).
As a non-specialist in sewing, I can not describe the range of functions, but it looks in fully functional. The machine was purchased by the french grandmother of the family and passed-down as heirloom and used for three generations. It comes with the original sturdy and lockable wooden lid with a key and removable accessories box inside, full of accessories (please refer to the pictures). Also, it has the original instruction booklet in French, very fragile, the only significant reflection of the age of this great machine (pictured). The pages are separated and suitable preservation measures may be considered.
This machine will give lots of joy either in the hands of a devoted master or as a decorative marvel, or perhaps both.
