Introduced in 1966 as Yamaha's first domestically produced folk guitar, the FG/FS series continues to be loved to this day.
Its origin, the "FG-150", is famous for its red label, but we have now received an individual from the light green label period, which is the earliest model before it became a red label.
It is believed to have been manufactured in 1967, as there is a stamp 41.1.13 inside the body.
Even though it is made entirely of plywood, it has an excellent sound, and even though it has been around for a number of years, it has a loud sound and the sound is excellent.
The neck has a slender V shape that makes it easy to grip.
In terms of condition, the nut and saddle are low, but the top of the body has bulged due to age, and the string height is currently set high at 3.5 mm on the 12F upper 1st string side and 4mm on the 6th string side.
As a result, it sounds good in the low position, but I think you will find it difficult to play in the high position.
It seems that the owner replaced the refrets and saddle at Yamaha, so there is almost no wear on the frets.
There is no noticeable warpage in the neck, and there is plenty of room in the truss rod.
Also, the pickguard has some shrinkage marks and has been reattached.
Yamaha's FG-150 is still extremely popular. There are probably many people who are looking for it.
