Vintage BUTLER & WILSON Statement Gold & Crystal Demi-parure - 1980's SIGNED

Butler and Wilson makers of iconic British costume jewellery founded Nicky Butler and Simon Wilson in 1968 when they began selling vintage jewellery in Portobello Market, Chelsea Antiques Market and later from their permanent stand in the famous Antiquaris, Kings Road Chelsea where they quickly built up a cult following among the fashionistas of the day with their designs regularly included in Vogue and magazine fashion shots. In the 1970’s they began making their own jewellery and in 1972 they opened their Fulham Street shop.

Famous for their extravagant and beautiful costume jewellery influenced by the past and loved and worn by many including Princess Diana, Jerry Hall, Inman, Catherine Deneuve, Faye Dunaway, Elle Mcpherson, Rhianna, Madonna, Rita Orla and Katherine Princess of Wales.

Bold layered gold tone and crystal  necklace and bracelet.  Fabulously flamboyant and dates to the mid 1980’s when B&W picked up on a strong heavy metal street look of the day as inspiration for their latest designs mixing the largest diamante with cleverly designed chains which were designed to wear one at a time or by the armful.

Multi 5 strand designs layered with curb chain, bead chain, central diamante chain, bead chain and rope chain.

Beautiful vintage 1980's jewellery, both are in very good condition with all stones and chains intact.  There is some slight wear to the gold tone bead chains, all other parts immaculate.
