For sale is Stieff Washington Inaugural Blazer Button 7/8" Pewter Excellent Condition. This button is in excellent, unused condition. This is an Authentic Steiff Collectible Button. The Following is the message on the box (not included):
This is an adaptation of one of several types of buttons made to commemorate the inauguration of George Washington as the President of the United States in 1789. The original brass button has the first President's initials incised in script monogram letters in the center circle which is enclosed by the inscription "Long Live the President" in raised capital letters. A chain of thirteen links, each enclosing the initials of the thirteen original states, forms the outermost circle.
