Headway HD-305 Used Spruce body Nato neck Rosewood fingerboard w/Hardcase
HEADWAY guitars have established a solid position as a domestic acoustic guitar brand. This guitar is HD-305, which was produced in the early days of HEADWAY.
The serial number is #002738, so it seems to have been made in the late 70's to early 80's.
At that time, the 305 was sold as a low-priced version of the all-single HD-308, but the specs were a spruce veneer top, mahogany plywood sides and back, nato neck, rosewood bridge and fingerboard, and a hard case. Content.
The HD-305 was priced at 50,000 yen at the time, but it has become a model with excellent cost performance in modern times due to its solid production and the familiar sound over time. A bright tone with little miscellaneous flavor. There is enough volume.
As a 40-year-old guitar, it is still in good condition, and although there are signs of use, dents, and scratches, it is in good condition considering its age.
The string height has been adjusted with the truss rod and saddle at the time of arrival at our store. It is about 2.5mm on the 6th string side and about 1.9mm on the 1st string side. The saddle has little shaving margin, leaving about 1.2mm on the 6th string side and about 1.9mm on the 1st string side.
As for the hard case that comes with it, the headway warranty from that time is still in good condition, so I guess it's original, but I can't confirm it because there aren't enough materials.
