A truly stunning demonstration of craftsmanship in crystal, this vintage Waterford Crystal 19 inch Inishmore Two-Piece Electric Hurricane Lamp brings radiance and light to any corner of the home or office.
Inishmore is the largest of the Waterford classically-styled Globe shaped Hurricane table lamps as well as the largest of the three Aran Islands. The Inishmore has the same cut pattern as the Inishmaan lamp but is a much larger lamp making it a fine centerpiece in any setting.
The Inishmore pattern, very similar to Alana, is painstakingly engraved with rows of fine crosscut decorations in the finest crystal which come to sparkling life when in use.
The Waterford Hurricane lamp range is at the top end of crystal lighting. The quality reflects the hours of work involved in the making of each lamp by skilled craftspeople and designers who are involved in each lamp including moulding, glass blowing, cutting, and polishing, all carried out by people who often had decades of experience working with Waterford Crystal.
Handmade in Ireland many years back, both the base and the globe shade are acid-etched with the older, Gothic Waterford mark.
The lamp has an on/off switch on its cord, and uses a medium base light bulb (included).
The lamp is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs, with three small chips to the inner bottom of the base (pics 21 & 22). There is a light scratch in the area around the lamp socket, concealed when the globe is in place.
The lamp has long been discontinued and retired, sadly along with all of their Crystal Lighting Collection, according to the Waterford website:
