Three Belladonna Amaryllis Flower Bulbs; also called surprise lilies.  These heirloom plants come up in early spring but do not flower, then a single stalk for each bulb comes up in the middle of summer with lots of flowers on it.  These bulbs will divide almost every year and I have not seen these plants or bulbs in stores.  Depending on soil conditions, after a year you will have about five flowers, after two years eight flowers, etc.  After several years you can dig them up to replant some of them in other places, but they do not have to be dug up and thinned out.  The  last picture shows three bulbs that I dug up yesterday.  Not all of the bulbs will be that big, but they will be nice sized.
